U.S. Water is proud to have participated in Earth Day celebrations at several project sites, fostering partnerships with our clients and promoting environmental awareness within the communities we serve. This year, our teams joined in on the Earth Day festivities at CSL Behring in Kankakee, IL, the City of Mercedes municipal site, and the Lehigh Acres, Florida team, demonstrating our commitment to sustainability and responsible water management.
At the CSL Behring site in Kankakee, our industrial operations & maintenance (O&M) team had the opportunity to engage with the production team during their Earth Day event on April 24th. We were invited to present the industrial water treatment plant and discuss its importance in maintaining the plant’s operations. U.S. Water employees were present to answer questions and highlight how individual actions can impact the overall health of the plant and the environment. Meanwhile, in the City of Mercedes, Texas, members of our U.S. Water Utility Group took part in the Earth Day event held at the Dr. Hector P Garcia Memorial Library demonstrating our dedication to community engagement and environmental stewardship. Both events featured a U.S. Water booth showcasing process water from different treatment stages, illustrating our expertise in water treatment solutions.
Additionally, U.S. Water proudly sponsored a rain barrel painting contest, hosted by FGUA at the Lehigh Acres Senior Center in Lehigh Acres, Florida. The contest aimed to promote water conservation and creativity within the community. U.S. Water sponsored the prize money for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, further demonstrating our commitment to environmental stewardship and community involvement. These Earth Day celebrations provided valuable opportunities to collaborate with our clients and communities in promoting environmental responsibility. By actively participating in events like these, we reaffirm our commitment to protecting the planet and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.
