During the Florida Rural Water Association (FRWA) annual conference held on August 1st at the Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa, Florida, Nassau Amelia Utilities was named Medium Public Water System of the Year.
Since October 2020, U.S. Water Services Corporation has provided operations and maintenance services for the Fernandina Beach dual water and wastewater plant on Amelia Island. The plant feeds a 3,700-connection water network that serves 10,000 residents and a thriving business community consisting of many high-end restaurants, and the oceanfront resorts The Ritz Carlton, and Omni Amelia Island Plantation.
