USWUG was the recipient of the Business Support Award at the Iowa Parks and Recreation Association’s annual awards conference on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in Waterloo, IA. This award is presented annually to recognize a private commercial organization that has contributed to the leisure services profession and enhanced the quality of life within the community. During the City of Fort Dodge’s Council Meeting on April 24, 2017, the Proclamation for the award was formally presented by the Mayor and council members. Since USWUG started sponsoring youth programs organized by the Parks and Recreation Department in 2010, the City of Fort Dodge has partnered with 75 businesses and groups for over $120,000.
